slippers


mayumi carefully arranged our slippers before she went to bed

For several nights now, mayumi, my bunso, has this ceremony - - before her bedtime, she would carefully arrange our slippers downstairs. Last night, as i was really curious, why she has to do it and why during her bedtime....i asked her and our conversation went like this:

nanay: uhmmm, ading, what are you doing?

mayumi: i am about to sleep nanay....

nanay: so, what are you doing with the slippers?

mayumi: i am fixing them nanay, so when you and tatay wake up and i am still asleep....your slippers are ready!

I never expect that she would give me that reason.....i just simply thought that she would just want to see those slippers to be placed orderly..............behind her act is a deeper meaning!... ooohhhhhhh.....children are really so fascinating - with the way they act, feel and think!

Children are really gifts from heaven!

Baguio....

is one place (next to tagaytay) hubby and i would love to hang out. Last week, hubby attended a seminar here. So, i took the chance of inviting myself (hahahaha!) to join him! His seminar started on the 3rd day of February but since it was the field trip of our kids, hubby and i joined them first....( i will post another story for that). We left for baguio around 12mn and arrived at the hotel 4:30am.....( galing ng driver namin ano!). In the morning, hubby attended the seminar and i took this chance to sleep until 10am. At around 11am hubby's cousins, who are studying in Baguio visited me in our hotel. We went out for lunch, we just ate at Mang Inasal in SM.....then we headed to Mines View as I was looking for ate tala's ethnic costume that she will be using when she turns grade 1 this June (gradeschoolers should be wearing ethnic attire every Wednesday). Inspired by Hubby's shout out in FB

I saw the post of hubby in fb and it talks about the crayons. They are in  different colors but have to live in the same box......it is how he expressed his greetings for Human Rights Week....I suddenly remember this poem I thought to my Grade 1 students 3 years ago and I was able to teach to my 2 girls....I love the message of this poem.....have time to read and ponder.....
