hubby's bday is so near....june 3 to be exact...though i gave him a pre bday gift already ( a dress watch)...am still thinking of giving him a gift on his special day....think.....think!...think!....think!
there are changes in our plans for his bday-- at first, we wanted to celebrate it in tagaytay but since we are pre occupied by the renovations we are making in our humble abode....hubby decided that we just check-in at fiesta hotel (thunderbird resort) in binangonan.....anyway, on the third week of june we will be flying off to the happiest place on earth! hongkong-disneyland......and we are really looking forward to this since this will be our first time to travel with the kids......we've been waiting for this moment since kids are now 6 and 5 we believe that this is the best time that they appreciate the beauty of travelling outside our country and their first destination is of course......disneyland! at first, hubby wanted to take the kids to singapore and malaysia (genting highlands) since we've been there already and somehow we are familiar with the place but i insisted that we should take them first to disneyland coz they will appreciate it more! ( sa totoo lang, i want to see disneyland na! hahahaha! though singapore is also a best place for kids!)

emotional affair
during some chit chat with my girlfriends many topics have been discussed.....one of these is the so-called "emotional affair"..........while browsing the net, i saw this site talking about emo affair.
10 Red Flags of an Emotional Affair.
1) Thinking or saying, "We're just friends."
If you have caught yourself thinking or saying, "but we're just friends," you are probably already in trouble. "But we're just friends" are four of the most dangerous words for a relationship. These words are usually said to rationalize something you know is wrong. Rationalize is also spelled "rational lies."
2) Thinking and daydreaming about the person more and more often.
This should be a loud, screaming clue. Do you think and day dream about your regular friends in this way?
3) Looking forward to the next time you can see and/or talk to the person.
If you feel excitement and anticipation, a quickening of your pulse, as you get ready to see this person, watch out.
4) Wanting to tell them first when something happens in your day.
This means that this person has become your primary emotional confidant.
5) Sharing intimate emotions.
This flows naturally from this person being your primary emotional confidant. Because emotional affairs can be harder to break than purely physical ones, you can get trapped right here.
6) Sharing intimate problems
Especially dangerous if you are sharing problems in your marriage or relationship with this other person.
7) You believe that this person understands you much more than your spouse.
Of course it looks like they do. That is part of the illusion of the affair. This belief draws you away from your partner and toward the other person.
8) Keeping secrets and covering up.
Secrets bond two people together against a third person.
9) Giving gifts you would not normally give to a friend.
Things to wear, jewelry, and other intimate gifts come with a message: we are very close.
10) Spending more and more time alone.
I've heard so many people tell me that this was the one that pushed them over the edge. They had promised themselves that nothing would happen, but the temptation and availability of time alone was too much to resist.

tala's recital
during my kids' recital i was kinda nervous thinking are they gonna play their piece right?....honestly, i don't know how to play any instruments....my hope of playing those things was passed on to my kids....seeing them holding and playing those musical instruments gave me hope.....hope of what i have missed when i was a kid will be experienced by my children.....

sharing with you mayumi's recital last may 23....she was supposed to play the grasshopper only but a few minutes before the program she asked her teacher if she could also play twinkle, twinkle little star, her reason....her grasshopper piece is too short and she wanted to stay long in the stage...hahahaha!

I was wondering what is the story behind mother's day....so i browsed the net and found this site for mothers. And here's the Mother's day history....
The history of Mother's Day is centuries old and goes back to the times of ancient Greeks, who held festivities to honor Rhea, the mother of the gods. The early Christians celebrated the Mother's festival on the fourth Sunday of Lent to honor Mary, the mother of Christ. Interestingly, later on a religious order stretched the holiday to include all mothers, and named it as the Mothering Sunday. The English colonists settled in America discontinued the tradition of Mothering Sunday because of lack of time. In 1872 Julia Ward Howe organized a day for mothers dedicated to peace. It is a landmark in the history of Mother's Day.
In 1907, Anna M. Jarvis (1864-1948), a Philadelphia schoolteacher, began a movement to set up a national Mother's Day in honor of her mother, Ann Maria Reeves Jarvis. She solicited the help of hundreds of legislators and prominent businessmen to create a special day to honor mothers. The first Mother's Day observance was a church service honoring Anna's mother. Anna handed out her mother's favorite flowers, the white incarnations, on the occasion as they represent sweetness, purity, and patience. Anna's hard work finally paid off in the year 1914, when President Woodrow Wilson proclaimed the second Sunday in May as a national holiday in honor of mothers.
Slowly and gradually the Mother's day became very popular and gift giving activity increased. All this commercialization of the Mother's day infuriated Anna as she believed that the day's sentiment was being sacrificed at the expense of greed and profit.
Regardless of Jarvis's worries, Mother's Day has flourished in the United States. Actually, the second Sunday of May has become the most popular day of the year. Although Anna may not be with us but the Mother's day lives on and has spread to various countries of the world. Many countries throughout the world celebrate Mother's Day at various times during the year, but some such as Denmark, Finland, Italy, Turkey, Australia, and Belgium also celebrate Mother's Day on the second Sunday of May.
