Inspired by Hubby's shout out in FB

I saw the post of hubby in fb and it talks about the crayons. They are in  different colors but have to live in the same box......it is how he expressed his greetings for Human Rights Week....I suddenly remember this poem I thought to my Grade 1 students 3 years ago and I was able to teach to my 2 girls....I love the message of this poem.....have time to read and ponder.....

The Crayon Box That Talked

While walking into a toy store the day before today
I overheard a crayon box with many things to say

"I don't like Red!" said Yellow and Green said "Nor do I"
"And no one here likes Orange but no one knows just why"

"We are a box of crayons that doesn't get along
Said Blue to all the others "Something here is wrong"

Well, I bought that box of crayons and took it home with me
And laid out all the colors so the crayons all could see

They watched me as I colored with Red and Blue and Green
And Black and White and Orange and every color in between

They watched as Green became the grass and Blue became the sky
The Yellow sun was shining bright on White clouds drifting by

Colors changing as they touched becoming something new
They watched me as I colored - they watched me till I was through

And when I finally finished I began to walk away
And as I did the crayon box had something more to say

"I do like Red!" said Yellow and Green said, "so do I"
And Blue you were terrific! So high up in the sky

"We are a box of crayons each one of us unique
But when we get together the picture is more complete"

hubby's bday

10 days to go and it will be hubby's birthday and i am still undecided what to give him. My status at this moment is a "kuripot wife" because i am planning something special on our wedding anniversary which will be on July. But i am also feeling guilty if i will not give in to hubby's birthday wish. Anyway, I am giving myself 5 days to think it over, and over and over! hahahaha!

You know what hubby's birthday wishes? 'Check it below.

wish #1

wish #2

I hope i can make up my mind in 5 days coz after hubby's birthday it will be my mom's special day.

Change.

Hubby just called me now.....he is still in Tacloban City and informed me of 2 things:

  • He will be home not on Thursday but on Friday;
  • A change (of?) will be set by March.
I hate changes but it's the only constant thing in this world.

Tacloban City

....is hubby's destination today. He will be having business conferences/meetings for two days. I was supposed to go with him as I want to visit this beautiful and historic place but i opted to stay because my students might be disappointed as they are very very very eager to play and learn nowadays. The thought of giving them a 3 day short break might ruin their eagerness which is very visible now.

Aside from my students, my 2 girls hold me back too after hearing what they have told hubby when he made paalam to them......

hubby: girls! girls! I will be gone for 2 days.

tala: huh! again!

mayumi: you are always away tatay! again and again and again

hubby: sorry, but this is very important

tala: okay, tatay, we know. I will be the man of the house, i will take care of nanay and mayumi.

hubby: very good ate tala! that's my girl.

mayumi: and i will be good to ate tala........nanay, are you going with tatay?

me: uhmmmm....of course not! i will take care of you! we will be having fun while tatay is away!

tala and mayumi: yipppppeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!

See.....but promise, i was supposed to make paalam to them. Anyway, i told hubby that if he still have time, explore the place so we could consider it as one of our destinations for our family vacation this year.

Who wants to be the next President.

i woke up so very early at 4:30 this morning and nothing much to do and can't go back to sleep, i opened my laptop and browsed for nothing.......i searched for my hubby's name and look what i've found here.......

Hahaha! i remembered this....it happened in the year 1996....when my hubby and I were still part of the Sangguniang Kabataan Days.

Missing you

I am missing my hubby now....he attended a 4 day seminar in Palawan and when he comes back on Friday, he will be leaving again and will be gone for 3 days. He was invited as a resource speaker of PATS.

Anyway, he made the dates, October 20, 23 and 24 free for tala and yumi's school activities.

And we are both looking forward for our "hubby and wife" getaway....... very very soon!

one day to go

it's june 2...and one day to go before hubby's birthday!....wow! i am so excited coz together with my 2 girls...we planned something special for our very dear only boy......i am happy that the 2 girls are really keeping our secret.....

anyway, i am about to sleep but since later will be a busy day for me... i decided to blog what my day will be like ...hehehehe

Since, we are going to spend hubby's bday in a resort in binangonan, and it will be a very private moment...he doesn't want to spend it with anybody else but only US...the four of us...i decided that i will be sending food in his office later and since monday is their session day, all his colleagues will be present...so here's my menu....

* my very own carbonara (i use ground round beef, really yummy! as per my customers! hehehe)

* tuna sandwich

* drysdale juice ( mango, orange and apple)

hubby at first doesn't want this idea coz he really wanted to spend his bday as simple as possible but i told him that people around him know his bday and besides it is more of a simple thanksgiving that he reaches the age of.......33....wow! 33 at june 3!

So this will be a very busy kitchen day for me!

happy monday everyone!
