Baguio....

is one place (next to tagaytay) hubby and i would love to hang out. Last week, hubby attended a seminar here. So, i took the chance of inviting myself (hahahaha!) to join him!

His seminar started on the 3rd day of February but since it was the field trip of our kids, hubby and i joined them first....( i will post another story for that). We left for baguio around 12mn and arrived at the hotel 4:30am.....( galing ng driver namin ano!).

In the morning, hubby attended the seminar and i took this chance to sleep until 10am. At around 11am hubby's cousins, who are studying in Baguio visited me in our hotel. We went out for lunch, we just ate at Mang Inasal in SM.....then we headed to Mines View as I was looking for ate tala's ethnic costume that she will be using when she turns grade 1 this June (gradeschoolers should be wearing ethnic attire every Wednesday). I found a terno, a skirt and blazer, Igorota inspired for only P400.00, very cheap compared here in Manila. I went back to the hotel around 6pm, hubby was still in the seminar so i explored the hotel first, had coffee at Gloria Jeans.

By 7pm, hubby called and informed me that we will be having dinner at 50's diner...We went there with some of hubby's officemates, hubby's 2 cousins and i was able to call my nephew's girlfriend to meet us there. I love the food there! so cheap and yet very sumptous! Afterwards, we dead to 18C, cool bar with live bands.....at 1am we went back to our hotel again and called it a night.

The next day was a busy day for us....this is our time to explore more of baguio, shop for pasalubongs. Our itinerary:

10am - La Trinidad, Strawberry Farm
12nn - Mines View Park, Good Shepherd Convent, The Mansions
3pm - Camp John Hay
6pm - Grotto

Last time we visited baguio was November of 2007, we went there with our kids, my mom and my nephew who is now in Australia. Baguio now is very populated and polluted unlike before where you could breathe fresh air and that made me feel sad. But anyways, it will always be one of our favorite places!

Miss this place. I used to go there with my co-workers just to sleep, eat, walk and shop. Minsan ilang beses sa isang buwan umaakyat kami. You're right though, am sure the atmosphere now is even worse. Still i would like to visit it again one day. Para makita ng anak at asawa ko yun lugar.
